Last Thursday, a theatre company came to perform “The Runaway Pancake”. The actress herself became the different characters that appear in the story. Some children of first and second years helped her to explain the story. They had a good time, singing, dancing and laughing.

THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA
KING DUNCAN, QUEEN ANGELA AND PRINCE ROBERT LIVE IN A CASTLE.
PRINCE ROBERT IS SAD. HE WANTS TO MARRY A PRINCESS.
King: Do you like Princess Helen?
Prince: No, I don’t.
Queen: Do you like Princess Emily?
Prince: No, I don’t.
SUDDENLY THEY HEAR A KNOCK. QUEEN ANGELA OPENS THE DOOR.
Princess: I’m Sarah. Please help me. I’m cold, tired and hungry.
Queen: Poor girl! Come in!
QUEEN ANGELA GIVES SARAH A JACKET AND SOME FOOD: CHICKEN, POTATOES, SALAD AND CHOCOLATE CAKE.
Prince: Are you a princess?
Princess: Yes.
Queen: Are you sure?
THEN THE QUEEN HAS AN IDEA. SHE GOES TO THE BEDROOM. SHE MAKES A SPECIAL BED.
Queen: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 mattresses. And one pea! Is Sarah a princess? Let’s see.
THAT NIGHT SARAH CAN’T SLEEP.
Sarah: I can’t sleep. I don’t like this bed.
THE NEXT DAY SARAH IS TIRED. QUEEN ANGELA IS HAPPY.
Queen: Sarah is a princess!

6. ON TUESDAY HE ATE THROUGH TWO PEARS, BUT HE WAS
STILL HUNGRY.
7. ON WEDNESDAY HE ATE THROUGH THREE PLUMS, BUT HE
WAS STILL HUNGRY.
8. ON THURSDAY HE ATE THROUGH FOUR STRAWBERRIES,

At the science class we have done a workshop titled “Parts of a plant”. The students have had the opportunity to identify the different plants of the school and its parts. The students have chosen a plant in order to draw it. Later they have shown their drawing to the rest of the class at the same time that they were explaining the parts of the plant drawn. The students were happy to have the possibility to work outside the classroom and now I can ask them about the plants whilst we are walking down the corridors.
