At the science class we have done a workshop titled “Parts of a plant”. The students have had the opportunity to identify the different plants of the school and its parts. The students have chosen a plant in order to draw it. Later they have shown their drawing to the rest of the class at the same time that they were explaining the parts of the plant drawn. The students were happy to have the possibility to work outside the classroom and now I can ask them about the plants whilst we are walking down the corridors.

SCIENCE CLASS: THE 5 SENSES (3rd GRADE)
At the science class we have done a workshop titled “The 5 senses”. The students, divided in couples, have experienced through five stations one for each sense: smell, touch, taste, hearing and sight. The students have handled different object in order to learn about them and to improve their vocabulary related to the description of an object. It has been a very funny and positive lesson.
SCIENCE CLASS: “RESPIRATORY SYSTEM” (4th grade)
At the science class we have done a workshop titled “The Respiratory System”. The students, divided in small teams, have created a respiratory system using different materials. Their creations simulate the breathing process and they have learnt how the diaphragm helps to expand the lungs while breathing in and out .
