Hands-on Science: Melting Ice
This experiment shows how temperature influences the time it takes to melt ice.
1. Pour cold water into one bowl. Pour hot water into another bowl. Leave a third bowl empty.
2. Put an ice cube into each bowl and set your stop-watch.
3. Write down the time it takes each cube to melt completely. Does the quantity of ice that you put in a bowl of water influence the time it takes to melt?
Family Popsicle Sticks
We made some decorated popsicle sticks as family members and talked about our aunts, uncles, cousins and more.
