Hands-On Science: Water Cycle in a Baggie
3rd graders have carried out an experiment on the water cycle. They made it rain inside a baggie.
Steps:
1- Draw a simple design on a Ziploc baggie: sun, clouds, ocean waves…even a submarine! Use a permanent marker.
2- Open the bag and fill it just a little bit with water. Try keeping it off the edges!
3- Add some blue food colouring and seal up the bag.
4- Hang the baggie on the window and see it in action!

The Urban Water Cycle
Visitors from Aigües de Barcelona came to our school to let us know everything about the Urban Water Cycle. We learned about it, then we played in small groups and carried out a couple of experiments. We had lots of fun!! Download the Urban Water Cycle poster in English here.
