Dear Bogatell pupils,
In Britain, Boxing Day is usually celebrated on the following day after Christmas Day, which is 26 December (strictly speaking, the first weekday after Christmas). Why is this day called Boxing Day? Well, tradidionally, 26 December was the day to open the Christmas Box to share the contents with the poor. This holiday is also celebrated in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

THE SNOWMAN (Raymond Briggs, 1982)
Dear kids,
The other day we could have a look at the book The Snowman. We really liked it! If you click on the image you’ll access the official The Snowman site.
We also watched the story in class. The timeless Christmas classic by Raymond Briggs, about a little boy who builds a snowman, that takes him on an adventure one snowy night. Here you can watch the video again… Beautiful story and beautiful music!
