UN Resolutions

The following resolutions were written by students that participated in the Model UN held at the Swedish partner school in 2018 when it was integrated in the Visions of European Cities project.
56 resolutions were written, discussed and agreed on – or disregarded – by 125 delegates representing 22 countries with different standpoints.
The global issues concerning sustainability that were discussed included
– Actions to increase access to clean water and sanitation
– Measures to provide sustainable, reliable, affordable energy for all
– Actions to reduce the degradation of natural habitats, halt the loss of biodiversity and
protect and prevent the extinction of threatened species
The global issues concerning migration were
– Measures to combat contemporary forms of slavery
– Measures to agree on extended resettlement quotas for asylum seekers of specific needs and vulnerabilities
