   Hi Sergio!!

   I just wanted to ask you somethin’:

   in your exam’s, can we use some colloquial expressions?

   like gonna, somethin’, ’cause…

   I ask you this just because one year ago, my english teacher put

   me some bad puntuation for that kind of words!

   I hope that people will write some comments in here…

   I thought that the colloquial expressions could be used in oral languages, but i thought that it was correct using it in the written language too.

   Just with the intention to help you with the verb tenses, i think that you must include there the verb “be able to”, it’s a little bit difficult verb. Sometimes i don’t know how and when i have to use it.

   I think it could be a nice including.

   I know that the verb tenses topic is not finished, but i just tried to help at building this blog.

   Hi Joan, I forgot to answer your question on the verb “to be able to”. You probably know the translation of that expression into Spanish or Catalan right? “Ser capaz de”. I would suggest you should use it whenever you want to express that. However, we must remember that when putting the modal “can” into the future tense, we have to use “will be able to” and avoid building ungrammatical sentences such as “I will can go to Italy”. This should be written “I will be able to go to Italy.”

   Examples:

   I can speak Chinese
   I could speak Chinese
   I will be able to speak Chinese
   I will can speak Chinese (wrong sentence!!!!!)

   Hi Sergio

   Well…. I don’t know what ask to you…XD
   I know.. it’s not related with english but.. Can you talk german? I can too.

   One sugestion: I recomend you to do that verbs revision in class and do some activities related with vocabulary, because one of the problems of the students is that they doesn’t know a lot of words that can do the work more easy.
   I think so, I don’t know…

   Well if there is some mistake, I was not… XD

   Hi Krak! Thanks for your comment, it’s always nice to see people around.
   First of all, I do speak some German but it’s ages since I last spoke it. I had to study this language at university and at EOI in Barcelona. “Mein Name is Sergio, Ich wohne in Spanien, ich bin 37 Jahre alt….” I am sure I really need some practice!! As for your suggestions, I really appreciate them, I know we need to do some work on verb tenses and we will. On the other hand, I am of the opinion that vocabulary is much better acquired in context, so whenever a new word appears, go and get it!!!! or it will go away!!!!

    Hello Esther, nice to see you around! I agree with you when you say that more pictures and comments would improve the blog. I’ll think about the photos, but as far as comments are concerned, I think that depends on my students.
    By the way, I have just posted the exercise you talked about, you’ll find it in the section VERB TENSES, have a look and tell me whether this is the right one. If you want the answers, let me know!!!!

    Hi LnA,

    Well, please ask me in our next class about the passive and I’ll try to explain anything which you don’t understand.

    As for making mp3 files, you only have to click on ARCHIVO and then EXPORTAR COMO MP3 when using AUDACITY.
