COOPERATIVE GROUPS

  • I’ll introduce cooperative work.

    The aim:   Every one succeed when the group succeeds.

  • COOPERATIVES GROUPS.

    The teacher chooses the groups. Each group choose their leader and each leader chooses the helpers for specific purposes. The groups change each term. They must be mixed groups. Each group should include: ( 5 groups of 5 people)/ (mixed gender groups)

    – 1 strong english speaker,

    – 1 with good motors skills,

    – 1 with learning difficulties,

  • ROLES: Each role must have something clear to do.

    – leader: to encourage the members of the group, talks with the teacher, help teammates.

    – helper: is in charge of the equipment and task preparation. They must ask the teacher for the equipment: “would you give me….”

    – spokesperson: is in charge of the communicative competence of the group and assesses if they speak in english. Also is the substitute when any other role is missed.

    – secretary: to write if necessary, take pictures, help the leader,

    – sheriff: to guarantee group order in the proceedings, assures that all members of the group listen to the teacher’s explanations.
