Walk through history
Scientist in Action: Roman Archs
We went to the laboratory to do the activity of “Scientist in Action”. We saw how the romans made the archs. If the romans made a flat brigde when they put weight on it, the bridge was destroyed… so they invented the archs. In the arch there are the columns and an important piece that it is in the middle of the arch. If this piece doesn’t exist, the arch doesn’t exist.
It was very interesting!!!!
Learning Camp about Roman Tarragona
On 20th and 21st November we spend two days participating in activities led by the Learning Camp near Tarragona. All activities were focused on the Roman civilization.
The first day we attended a presentation about the daily life of Roman people: their food, their dresses and their domestic customs. Then, we turned into real archaeologists and we tried to discover hidden objects. At night he could make a workshop on pottery.
On the second day we visited the Roman city, the walls and the amphitheater.
