Després d’haver realitzat els dos projectes corresponents al primer trimestre, vam decidir que seria interessant poder compartir les nostres experiències amb les famílies. Així, les vam convidar a vindre al centre i vam compartir una hora de classe… els hi vam explicar tot el que havíem fet, vam visualitzar els vídeos que hem realitzat i finalment fins i tot vam jugar amb els “Board Games” amb ells!!!!

Finally we achieved our goal and we designed and constructed the board games… They are really really nice!!

Now it’s time to design the game. Each group will be in charge of one period: Prehistory, Ancient Egypt, The Greeks and the Romans. We need to:

a) Collect the questions that our classmates have written and check that they are correct.

b) Investigate our hadout, the resources in moodle to write more questions or to improve the ones we have.

c) Design the board and the cards and also design the dice and counters.

d) Write the rules for the game

Come on!! Go, go, gooo!!

As you have seen, we haven’t published any article in the last few days because we are very busy  investigating  all the civilizations we are studying: prehistory, Egypt, Greece and Rome.

At the end of each of these periods, we are preparing some interesting questions that they will be useful when we will create the board games…

Now you can try to answer these questions and check your knowledge about ancient civilizations!!!!!

• Which is the name of the city that is considered the birthplace of democracy?
• Who is the goddess of  babies and mothers in Ancient Egypt?
• Could you explain the process of mummyfication?
• What is the difference between Nomadic and Sedentaric?

• …….

We went to the laboratory to do the activity of “Scientist in Action”. We saw how the romans made the archs. If the romans made a flat brigde when they put weight on it, the bridge was destroyed… so they invented the archs.  In the arch there are the columns and an important piece that it is in the middle of the arch. If this piece doesn’t exist, the arch doesn’t exist. The arch we worked on it, was very small but it could support Anaïs as you can see in the pictures below!!! It was very interesting!!!!

Today we have started a new project… it’s called “A walk through history”. The library needs our help!! We will have to design a nice and interesting board game for checking people’s knowledge of prehistory and old civilizations. So, we will have to go back in time and investigate from the first human beings in the Prehistory to the Romans, through Egypt and Greece. I’m sure it will be a nice trip!!!!
