       - Halloween is also known as: Hallowe’en, Allhallowe’en, All Hallows’ Eve , All Saints’ Eve
 - It is believed that its origins date as far back as 2,000 years within the Pre-Christian Celtic period.
 - The Pagans celebrated this time in the form of a festival known as Samhain (sowen).
 - Halloween is usually celebrated on the 31st of October.
 - Samhain marked the end of the summer and marked the beginning of the It is believed to have connections to death.
 - It is said that the line between the living and the dead were weak and it made it easier for ghosts to cross over and cause trouble.
 - Many also believed that fairies or supernatural beings would kill the crops.
 - Halloween is known to celebrate the dead as some attend church services and light candles on the graves of their loved ones.
 - Today, Halloween is celebrated all around the world.
 - It was taken to America through Irish immigrants and was adopted by Americans later on to later be turned into a more commercialized holiday.
 - People associate spooky, creepy characters such as vampires, ghosts, zombies, werewolves, goblins, witches, to this holiday.
 - In America and other places like Ireland, Canada, and the U.K.
 - Halloween is celebrated by dressing up in costumes and going around the neighborhood to collect candy, also known as “Trick or Treating”.
 - Other traditions also include: watching scary movies, costume parties, playing pranks, decorating the house, carving pumpkins, handing out candy, bobbing for apples, going to church, visiting the grave of loved one´s
