The first pick I have chosen is “The Pillow Fight” of the Beatles by Harry Benson http://100photos.time.com/photos/harry-benson-beatles-pillow-fight

This image for me it’s so meaningful. Since I was a child I really respected and admire The Beatles even though when I was born they didn’t exist. That image shows how natural, funny and young they were when all the fame came to them. But even all that celebrity world they were into, they were only boys in their 20s having fun, boys in their 20s that made history in the world of music. For me, the best artists that the world will see, I really thankful that my brother showed me their music.

The second pick I have chosen is “Black Power Salute” by John Dominis
    http://100photos.time.com/photos/john-dominis-black-power-salute

This image is a strong image of protest against the inequality that the black population were living in the USA. It shows us with the symbols of the athlete such as the black gloves or the black socks, how he was trying to symbolize black poverty, black power and solidarity. A shout to equality in a place where people only wanted to be respected, in a place where a part of the population had to fight for their rights.

The first photo I have chosen is “Alan Kurdi” by Nilufer Demir in 2015. When I saw this photo I remember when I saw a dead man on the floor a long time ago and I was really upset. And I’m identify with the photographer. This picture is important because we can’t just ignore this and we can’t just look away and act like everything is normal. Innocent women, men and even children are dying.

The most influential photo I have chosen is “V-J Day in Times Square” by Alfred Eisenstaedt

The most influential photo in historical terms, in my opinion, is the picture where the sailor kissed the nurse in Times Square. These photo demonstrate the happiness, the relief and security of the people in United States Of America at the end of the second World War.

·Why it is a meaningful image for you?
    http://www.museofridakahlo.org.mx/assets/files/page_files/slider/39/Banner.jpg
The first photo I have chosen is a photographic portrait of the artist Frida Kahlo (1907 to 1954). I chose this image because I admire she. I think she was and is an influence on the art and current fashion. She was so strong and she expressed his suffering and all his ideas in a draw. In my opinion, the most important of her images is that when I see it I see the liberty of the woman, I see an important feminist that is an influence for many women including me.

I have chosen a photo of walls scratched in a gas chamber in Auschwitz. I think that is an influential image for the history because it represents the suffering of prisoners during the Nazi Holocaust. It marked a before and after in the lifes of many people, especially in Germany since 1933 to 1945, during the dictatorship of Hitler. Was a time of terror, in which Jews and Gypsies were killed unjustly only for their “race”.

  8. Montse Rebollero diu:

The first image that I have chosen is: “The hunger in India”

    http://100photos.time.com/photos/james-nachtwey-famine-in-somalia

I have chosen this image because I think that although the years pass, these situations unfortunately have not disappeared yet, and we can find people in the street that do not have a home or anyone that can be with them and help them. For that reason I believe that this image is important in the history because its the situations of the past and those of the present, that it defines same situation, in countrys like Kenya, Ethiopia or Somalia.

The second image that I have chosen is:

    http://100photos.time.com/photos/kiss-v-j-day-times-square-alfred-eisenstaedt

I have chosen this image, because it was done when a photographer was looking for a perfect photo, and saw how a sailor took his nurse by the waist and kissed her, without her waiting. For that reason, this image has caught my attention, because I think that we have to act from the heart and not be afraid of what people will think.

  9. Andrea Trujillo Montero diu:

The first picture I have chosen is “ the burning Monk” by Malcom Browne in 1963. I have chosen this picture because I saw it in one song cover. This song is “Killing In The Name” by Rage Against The Machine. It surprised me because I didn’t know anything about the history of this picture. I like this song but it isn’t one of my favorites.
    http://100photos.time.com/photos/malcolm-browne-burning-monk

The second picture I have chosen is “Bloody Saturday” by H.S. Wong in 1937. During the Battle of Shanghai, part of the Second Sino-Japanese War, Japanese military forces advanced upon and attacked Shanghai, China’s most populous city. Wong never discovered the name of the burned and crying baby, whether it was a boy or a girl, or whether he or she survived.

  10. Karen Ortiz diu:

The first picture I have chosen is ”Surfing Hippos” by Michael Nichols. http://100photos.time.com/photos/michael-nichols-surfing-hippos

This image is meaningful for me because it put together two of the things that I love the most: animals and photography. It shows hippos in their natural habitat and how they really enjoy being in the water. It also shows us a side of how the photographer, Michael, loves animals too. As photography is one of my passions, it can show me different perspectives of how you could take a picture or different points of view.

I have chosen this second picture ”The Falling Man” by Richard Drew.
    http://100photos.time.com/photos/richard-drew-falling-man

I think this image has an influence on history because it is showing us how desperate were the people in that moment on 11th of September in 2001. Even that is showing just a little part of how people were in that moment. Men, women, children, the whole country and even the whole world was in panic in that moment and the only way that that man found was throwing himself through the window to end with all the suffer he had in that moment.
Nowadays, we still have this kind of terrorism and people from around the world are desperate, horrified and even in panic or insecurity, because they think that they are not safe anymore.

  12. Estela Mulet diu:

-Why it is an influential image for you?

The firts photo I have chosen is the “Blind” by Paul Strand (1916) because this photo makes me feel sad. I see the woman’s face and I can feel that the life in that time was so rude. Also, the women didn’t know that she was photographed…so she didn’t fake a smile.

    http://100photos.time.com/photos/paul-strand-blind

The second photo I have chosen is “Alan Kurdi” by Nilüfer Demir because that photo is actual and I think that it reflected the cruel reality in that world…

  13. Victor Iniesta diu:

    http://100photos.time.com/photos/philippe-halsman-dali-atomicus

The first image I have chosen is: “Dalí Atomicus” by the photographer called Philippe Halsman.
I have chosen it because I really like this artist and I like the surrealistic style that he shows in his paintings. The picture it’s so meaningful for me because Dalí was very imaginative and has a different perception of the reality, that is what I like the most and why it reminds me my personality.

    http://100photos.time.com/photos/neil-armstrong-nasa-man-on-moon

The second picture I have chosen is called: “The man on the moon” by Neil Amstrong.
I have chosen it because it shows an important historical act for humanity and it means a big advance in the aeronautic industry and in the investigation of our satellite. Neil Armstrong was the first man who step on the moon but there are others astronauts that have travelled to the moon too.
