SANTA’S BOOTS

This week the Petits community enjoyed a play in our school. The play was Santa’s boots and all the community sang, danced and expanded their vocabulary. We think that learning English through the theatre immerse children in the English culture in a real context. Listening to the conversations between characters and understanding their relationship is a good way of gaining a new perspective on understanding English. The story was about a shoemaker who makes Santa Claus’ boots. The Petits community had a lot of fun and learned new English words.

Aquesta setmana la comunitat de petits ha gaudit d’una obra de teatre en anglès a l’escola. L’obra es deia Santa’s Boots i els infants han cantat, ballat i practicat el vocabulari en anglès. Pensem que aprendre la llengua estrangera per mitjà del teatre submergeix a l’alumnat a la cultura anglesa en un context real. Escoltar les converses entre personatges i observar com es relacionen és una bona oportunitat per obrir-se a una nova perspectiva d’entendre l’anglès. La història explicava com una sabatera repartia les sabates a Santa Claus. La comunitat de Petits s’ha divertit i ha après nou vocabulari.
