2- Put the events in order according to the video.

  • The man in the queue discovered the fake gun.
  • The bank robber escaped and started running.
  • A man was queuing up at bank.
  • The man in the queue ran after the robber.
  • A man with a helmet entered in the bank. He was holding a gun to the cashier.
  • The police gave a prize to the man in the queue.
  • The man in the queue caught the robber while they were running in the street.

3- Read the news report about the robbery and answer the questions.

  • What elements / parts can we see in the report?
  • For what do we use the first sentence?
  • How are the events explained? What tenses are used?
  • Relate the sentences from exercise 2 to the paragraphs in the report.
  • Underline the sentences in past simple.
  • Underline the sentences in past continuous.
  • How are the different events connected?
  • What could be add to the report to make it more interesting?
