Last Wednesday the Blue Mango English Theatre Company came to our school to perform the play “Who is Who” for the 1st and 2nd year of ESO and “Tune In” for 3rd and 4th of ESO.
At 9.15, the play “Who is who” started. This play was about a teenage girl named Kerry, her mum Mrs. D, and Paul. It started with an English class and two of the students of our school became part of the play. Later, in the play, the English teacher Mrs. D, who was also Kerry’s mum and who was a bit crazy, wanted her daughter to be more adventurous and daring, to talk to one of her students, Paul, and to become Paul’s girlfriend. Kerry didn’t like her mother very much because she always embarrassed her in front of Paul. Then, her mum invited Paul to their home. It was then, when they started to like each other.
At 11.45, it was the turn of the 3rd and 4th year classes. This play was about a TV programme named “Tune In with Judy and Trevor”. The play started when the guest of the programme was sick and couldn’t come to the show, so that one of the students from our school had to volunteer to play the guest’s role and help them with the show. After the TV show, Trevor told Susie that it was their wedding anniversary. He rehearsed with Susie how to give Judy some flowers and how to say a poem to Judy, but Judy saw them and a huge misunderstanding started.
The plays were a great success. The students learned English in a very funny way and laughed a lot. The students and the teachers enjoyed it very much and they hope to see another theatre play soon.
