Last week our Global Scholar students took part in the first “Skype-a-thon!” organized by Global Scholars. The different schools in the international project were encouraged by the organizers to schedule as many video chats as they could during the week beginning on Monday, March 7^th, to Friday, March 11^th, with other classes from countries all over the world.

We took up the challenge and scheduled two Skype video chats, one with the Billabong High International School in Mumbai (India), and a second one with the Szkola Podstawowa nr 289 in Warsaw (Poland). It was a really exciting activity, and we enjoyed meeting students from these countries and sharing our Global Scholar experiences with them. We really had a good time and we are looking forward to repeating the experience.

As part of the deal, classes that conduct live chats during this week and post a video clip in the Global Scholar e-classroom by March 18th will receive prizes, so let’s keep fingers crossed and hope for the best!!
