What is the aim of our project?

Erasmus+: What’s Ours is Yours: Sharing Practice and Cultural Exchange

The project aims to promote an awareness and understanding of other cultures that exist within our wider, transnational community, and will involve 3 partner schools from across the EU: Carluke High School (Carluke, Scotland), Institut Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia (Barcelona, Spain), and Mercy College Coolock (Dublin, Ireland).

Each of the partner schools will be involved in producing a series of videos that highlight particular areas of their culture, which also tie in with identified areas of the curriculum. The schools will create two versions of each video, one in their home language and the other in Spanish.

Pupils will also have the opportunity to travel to the partner schools to experience the culture, and they will also be involved in activities when hosting a partner school.

The project will also aim to change attitudes and promote responsible local, national, European and Global Citizenship.

The project will help to inspire all of our young people involved, helping them to engage with their peers across borders in partner schools, as well as with their local communities, and working towards promoting positive attitudes in the wider school.
