Halloween és una festa tradicional anglesa. Es celebra el 31 d’octubre.

Els nens i nenes es dissfrasen de monstres, bruixes, etc. La mainada passa per les cases a buscar llaminadures, diuen “trick or treat” que en català es diu “truc o tracte”. El que volen és que els donin llaminadures o sino els espantaran.

Les cases es decoren amb carbasses, bruixes, aranyes, teranyines, etc.

AMERICAN PUMPKIN PIE

Ingredients for 4 people:

2kg of pumpkin

1/2l of milk

4 eggs

4 teaspoons of flour

1 teaspoon of  beking powder

100g of butter

1/4 tespoon of salt, 1/4 tespoon of cinnamon power

Utensils to use:

a big saucepan

a table spoon

a teaspoon

a wooden spoon

a big bowl

a non-stick pie dish

Cut the pumpkin into small pieces and remove the peel. Put the pieces into a big saucepan and add the milk. Cook the mixture for 30 minutes and don’t forget to mix it while it’s cooking.

Now break the eggs into a bowl. Add the flour, beaking powder, butter, salt and cinammon powder. Mix these ingredients well. Add the pumkin and milk misture to the ingredients in the bowl and mix. Put the mixture into a non-stick pie dish. Put the dish in to a ove (180ºC) for one hour. Serve the pumkin pie cold.
