Interviewers: What’s Your Name?
Stephanie: My name is Steph
– How old are you?
– I’m 21 years old
– Where are your parents from?
– My dad is from Greece and my mum is from England
– Where are you from?
– I was born in Greece and I moved to England when I was 9
– What are you in Spain for?
– I’m just here to work for a year
– Do you like Spain?
– Yes, I like it but now it’s very cold!
– Is Spain different from Great Britain in any way?
– Yes. The weather and the culture, like here there are more people going to “Café” to see friends and of course the food.
– What do you think about the high school staff?
– They are very funny and very friendly in this department (English Department). I don’t know anybody else.
– What do you think about Students in general?
– Here they swear more than they do in England. In England, if you say a bad word, you have to leave the class. And yes, they are good but…
– Do you have problems with your accommodation?
Stephanie: No, no problem it’s a good flat.
– What are your hobbies?
– At the moment going to the gym, reading and going out to parties!
– What do you love of Spain?
– Of Barcelona I like the buildings and the weather
– What do you miss of England?
– My car, my friends and I miss Liverpool where I go to the University, I miss the bars that are there in Liverpool. Well the bars no, the clubs that are there.
– Which thing are you taking with you from Spain to England?
– I will take the first time I went to the Supermarket!
– Are the classes too hard?
– No, it’s sometimes hard to think something that everybody would like, because I haven’t been a teacher even before. But no they are easy!
– Are you happy with your students?
– Yes I’m very happy. All of them have improved from the beginning of the year and now they speak much better.
– Do you miss your friends?
– Yes I miss them a lot!
– If you had a special friend, do you miss him?
– Well I don’t have one, I don’t have one here either. Now I’m very happy.
– Do you find the Spanish men handsome?
– Yes, I do!
– Now, where are you living?
– I’m living in Cerdanyola Del Vallès.
– And where would you like to live?
– I would like to live in Barcelona but I like my flat, it’s a good flat.
