General

Kirsty from Melbourne (Australia) has arrived in ZER El Jonc! We gave her a warm welcome!

A very long travel to help pupils and teachers to improve our English expression and comprenhension during all this academic year 16-17. She’ll be with the “teacher” and kids during some English classes. And we’ll invite her to our ZER activities (excursions, festivals…) We hope to learn a lot from her, about English language, Australian country and culture… We also hope to teach her a lot about the traditions in our villages and Catalonia.

La Kirsty de Melbourne (Austràlia) ha arribat a la ZER El Jonc! Li vam fer una càlida benvinguda!

Un llarguíssim viatge per a ajudar alumnes i mestres a millorar la nostra expressió i comprensió en anglès durant tot el curs 16-17. Estarà amb la “teacher” i l’alumnat durant algunes sessions de les classes de llengua anglesa. I la invitarem a les activitats de la ZER (sortides, festivitats…) Esperem aprendre molt d’ella, sobre llengua anglesa, sobre Austràlia i la seva cultura… També esperem ensenyar-li molt sobre les nostres tradicions als nostres pobles i a Catalunya.

ENGLISH THEATRE FOR INFANTIL AND CI

ENGLISH, General, SORTIDES

Last Friday 6th. of May we went to Os de Balaguer to see the theatre play “Round and round the garden” performed by Look Out Theatre Company. The audience was made up with pupils of Ed. Infantil and CI from ZER El Jonc, ZER Serra Llarga, ZER Montsec and Albesa School. A boy and a girl were walking around a beautiful garden and showed us a lot of little bugs (a bee, a butterfly, a ladybird, a caterpillar, a spider…) and funny songs. It was amazing!

In the afternoon, we visited the village: its streets, square and village hall, and also two men told us about the production of oil and honey in Os: Molí del Pau and Torrons Alemany. They gave us some oil and honey as presents. Thanks!

El passat divendres 6 de maig, vam anar a Os de Balaguer per a veure l’obra de teatre “Round and round the garden” representada per la Companyia Look Out. El públic estava format pels alumnes d’Ed. Infantil i CI de la ZER El Jonc, ZER Serra Llarga, ZER Montsec i escola d’Albesa. Un noi i una noia caminaven per un bonic jardí i ens van ensenyar molts animalons (una abella, una papallona, una marieta, una eruga, una aranya…) i cançons divertides. Va ser fantàstic!

Per la tarda, vam visitar el poble: els seus carrers, plaça i ajuntament, i també dos senyors ens van explicar la producció d’oli i mel d’Os: el Molí del Pau i els Torrons Alemany. Ens van regalar una mostra d’oli i mel. Gràcies!

 

HALLOWEEN IN ZER EL JONC

We’ve been learning about Halloween festival in our English classes all along  the week from 26th. to 30th. October. Pumpkins changing to Jack o’lanterns, masks, songs and lots of activities!!

Full of fun!!

Hem estat aprenent sobre la festa del Halloween a les classes d’anglès durant tota la setmana del 26 al 30 d’octubre. Carbasses canviant a “Jack o’lanterns”, màscares, cançons i moltes activitats!!

Diversió a tope!!

THE SWORD IN THE STONE

Theatre play about the legend of King Arthur and his famous sword Excalibur.

Performed by pupils from CS on Friday 5th. June 2015 during the Medieval Fair of ZER El Jonc in La Ràpita.
