HISTORY OF AUSTRALIA
1.Between 1500 and 1600, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch explorers arrived in Australia, finding only dry land, so they did not stay to live.
2.In 1770, Captain James arrived on the east coast of Australia, where the land was good for cultivation. He called that area of the country New South Wales.
3.In the 1890s, people wanted to become an independent nation.
4.On January 1,(1901), the Australian colonies became the State of Australia.
