The students of year 5, went to the theatre on the 5th March to watch “EXCALIBUR” by Theatre 4schools company.
Excalibur is a play about medieval times. We loved this play.
Only three actors acted in this play !!! In my opinion Excalibur is the best medieval play in the world! The characters in the play were: Merlin, three monks, Geneva, the Queen, the King of England (Arthur’s dad), Arthur (the future king of England), Morgana and Mordred.
Merlin is Arthur’s mentor and a magician.
The three monks created a magic sword for the future king of England.
Geneva is a knight and Arthur’s girlfriend.
Arthur is a warrior and the future king of England.
Morgana is the worst of all.
Mordred is Morgana’s son.
Merlin thrust the sword into the stone, and only the real king of England would be able to free the sword.
We enjoyed this play a lot.
