Pupils in 3rd grade reviewed and learned a lot about FOOD thanks to a project in English. There were many different activities like:

• Flashcards vocabulary.
• Listening and watching the storybook ” I will never not ever eat a tomato”.
• Songs and riddles of food.
• The food pyramid.
• A food questionnaire.
• A memory game.
• Oral presentations…
  
  This amazing Food Project has been carried out by an English student from the University of Girona named Laia Colomer.

On November the 26th this year, it is celebrated THANKSGIVING DAY in North America ( The United States and Canada). It is always celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November.
It’s a special festival. On this day American people gather for a day of feasting with FAMILY, FRIENDS and RELATIVES.

And what do they eat?
Turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, apple pie, pumpkin pie, staffing, sweet potatoes, green gravey,cranberry sauce…

Per tal que no us avorriu aquest estiu i pugueu seguir aprenent d’una forma lúdica i divertida, des de l’àrea d’anglès, us deixem una sèrie de recomanacions per seguir practicant l’idioma durant les vacances.

* Llegir un conte en anglès.
* Veure dibuixos animats i pel·lícules en anglès (si voleu amb subtítols).
* Escoltar i cantar cançons en anglès, buscar la lletra, el significat…
* Jugar on-line a videojocs o apps en anglès (us deixem un enllaç on s’expliquen diverses apps educatives que us podeu descarregar a les vostres tabletes o mòbils): APLICACIONS PER APRENDRE ANGLÈS SOLS
* Visitar pàgines educatives on pots seguir practicant l’anglès com:

* I finalment, si podeu, viatjar i/o relacionar-se amb nens i nenes d’altres països a la piscina, platja, parcs, poble…

Per acabar, no oblideu:

* Pasar temps amb els qui estimeu.
