Our loved Kirsty from Melbourne has finished her staying in the ZER. We’ve been lucky having her in our English classes and it has been a privilege to count on her to improve our oral English and to know about her country, Australia, so far. It has been a school year full of emotions, learning, exchanging…
La nostra estimada Kirsty de Melbourne ja ha acabat la seva estada a la ZER. Hem tingut la sort de poder comptar amb ella a les classes d’anglès i ser uns privilegiats a l’hora de millorar l’anglès oral i de conèixer molt sobre el seu país, Austràlia, tan llunyà. Ha estat un curs ple d’emocions, d’aprenentatge, d’intercanvi…

7- PREPARING AN AUSTRALIAN PROJECT

The pupils from CS are preparing posters related to important cities and areas in Australia. They are imagining a week holiday in that country: how to arrive there, what they need, what things they can find, where to go and what to do, etc. A lot of researching in Internet, summarizing, writing, copying and printing texts and images for their posters! Hard work!

L’alumnat de CS està preparant pòsters sobre importants ciutats i zones d’Austràlia. S’estan imaginant una setmana de vacances en aquell país: com arribar-hi, què necessiten, què hi trobaran, on anar i què fer, etc. Molta recerca per internet, resumint, redactant, copiant i imprimint textos i imatges per als seus pòsters. Treball intens!

The pupils of CS have been the guides for Kirsty in a tour through La Ràpita. They have shown and explained to her the most important places in the village… in English! The other pupils of the school have been tourists, too.
We hope she has enjoyed the tour and our village!

The first Tuesday of the month, all the pupils and teachers welcomed Kirsty at the entrance of the school with Catalan and Australian flags and a big banner. She will be our English Language Assistant for this school year and she’s going to travel through the schools in the ZER with our English teacher. She’ll come to La Ràpita on Tuesday afternoons and Friday mornings!
After the welcome, we went in and she told us lots of things about her, Australia and Melbourne, her city. We made her looooots of questions! How interesting!
El primer dimarts del mes, tot l’alumnat i mestres vam donar la benvinguda a la Kirsty a l’entrada de l’escola amb banderes catalanes i australianes i una gran pancarta. Ella serà la nostra auxiliar de conversa per aquest curs i viatjarà per les escoles de la ZER amb la nostra teacher. Ella vindrà a La Ràpita els dimarts per la tarda i els divendres pel matí!
Després de la benvinguda, vam entrar dins i ens va explicar moltes coses sobre ella, Austràlia i Melbourne, la seva ciutat. Li vam fer mooooooltes preguntes! Que interessant!
