Several weeks ago we began to study an American artist named Andy Warhol. He is very famous by his artwork, which is called POP ART. We learnt the main features of his work: he used bright colours, repeated images and pop icons/mass media.
Fa algunes setmanes vam començar a estudiar l’artista americà Andy Warhol, qui és molt famós per les seves obres, les quals estan emmarcades dins del moviment artístic anomenat POP ART. Vam aprendre les principals característiques dels seus treballs: utilitzava colors llampants, repetia imatges i feia servir icones populars així com productes comercials.

Following these characteristics students carried out different projects. In the first one, they had to finish the repetitions of the famous Campbell’s tomato soup tin and then colour it:

Seguint aquestes particularitats, els alumnes van portar a terme diferents projectes. Al primer havien d’acabar les repeticions de la famosa llauna de sopa de tomàquet Campbell i després pintar-la:

For the second project, students had to bring a tin to design a label for it. And this is the great result:
Pel segon projecte, els alumnes havien de portar una llauna per tal de dissenyar una etiqueta; i aquest és el gran resultat:
In order to carry out the following project, they needed to be taken a photo of themselves and use it as a help to reproduce the 4 copies. It was a little bit hard at the beginning, but as soon as they started to see the result, they got engaged to create these masterpieces:

Per dur a terme el següent projecte, es va fer una foto a cada estudiant per tal que els ajudés a reproduir 4 còpies exactes. El projecte en sí va ser una mica difícil al principi, però conforme van anar veient el resultat, es van engrescar i van acabar creant aquestes obres d’art:

The last project of this topic has been a mural, which was made collaboratively. The students really enjoyed the fact that it was like a jigsaw and also that it had to be coloured using paint!
L’últim projecte del tema ha estat un mural, el qual es va fer en grup. Els alumnes van gaudir molt el fet que fos com un trencaclosques i també que hagués de ser pintat amb pintura!
