CENTELLES, Josep-Joan is a Doctor in Biochemistry and professor at the University of Barcelona. He is a researcher in Integrative Biochemistry and Cancer Therapy, and member of the group Innovation in Education QISU – Chemistry in the interface secondary Education – University. Since 2003 he has been participating in the working sessions “Fem Química al Laboratori” [“Let’s do chemistry in the lab”] aimed at rethinking the way experiments in high schools are performed.

In parallel, he has been translating scientific books from German into Spanish: among them Bioquímica: fundamentos para medicina y ciencias de la vida and Biotecnología para principiantes, both published in 2008. As for lablit, he is the scientific author of the juvenile novel Roger d’Orlhac (2009), published in Spanish the following year.

His passion for languages has led him to learn Russian, Japanese and Arabic as well.
