In the current project we’re dealing with the reproduction of animals. In the English class we’re working on the description of different animals, but not only physical descriptions but also how these animals reproduce (oviparous, viviparous and ovoviviparous animals).
In the arts class we have seen what ALEBRIJES are, and we have been describing the Alebrije that appears in the movie of Coco, which is called PEPITA.
- What are alebrijes?
Alebrijes are brightly coloured Mexican folk-art sculptures of fantastical creatures. The first alebrijes were created by Pedro Linares. After dreaming the creatures while sick in the 1930s, he began to create what he saw in cardboard and papier-mache.
