One day, I arranged to meet with my friend and schoolmate of the last course Lourdes. We went to a coffe shop and talked of a lot of things; about the EOI (her course and mine), holidays, boys, work, … a tipical conversation between two girls that they didn’t meet in a lot of time. When we decided to do this meeting I suggested to Lourdes speak in English for practise and she thought that it was a great idea.
Every Thuesday and Thrusday in this month I was practicing with Cristina our oral exam to prepare the B1. I printed all the exams of the B1’s moodle and we had one hour before the class to talk in English about the diferents types exams and we practiced our skeaping. I hope we will have luck and our oral exam will be easy.
On day, I went to Ikea and in the escalator to went to the parking car a boy needed help with the purchase. He bought a big and heavy wardrobe and my boyfriend was offering to help him. The boy didn’t speak Spanish and I took advantage of the situation and I talked with him in English. I asked to he; Can I help you? and we started a little conversation. I felt useful and I was very happy for help this boy. I praticed my English in a different situation outside the EOI.
In April, I went to my firts Racó de Conversa of this school year and we talked about tourism in Barcelona. The teacher showed some pictures about different places of Barcelona and each one of us explained if this place was nice to visit and why. In this Racó de Conversa I discovered places of Barcelona that I didn’t know and I want to visit soon.
I went to my second Racó de Conversa in April and we talked about art. The teacher showed some pictures about different pieces of art and each one of us explained if this paint or sculpture was nice and beatiful for us and what we thought about abstract ar
t. I like art but I didn’t like this racó the conversa, I spoke less than the last because I hadn’t things to say, I was a little disappointed.
I work in a school with a lot of teacher of English becaus it’s a school with a multilingual teaching. For this reason I decided to talked in English with all of my partners of english every moment that I meet with theirs. At the beginnig I was nervous speaking with theirs, but I have a good partners and they help to me a lot. The school have a Blog where they showed all the activites that they do during the school year.
