Dear students,

First of all, we would like to tell you that we are very proud of you. Remember last year? You were a little scared about taking a class in English. And now we are sure it would be strange to go to a math class in Catalan. Don’t you think?

So far, we have been learning a lot of new concepts, mathematical processes AND REASONINGS, problem solving skills, ABOUT HISTORY AND CONTEXT OF MATH,…

But, how much talking have you done in class? Speaking, discussing, explaning,… uffff. You have been using English for real “communication” and this is really important when learning languages.

This blog is going to help us “communicate” more and better in English, but not only with your teachers or classmates, but with the rest of the world.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE WORLD OF MATHS RIGHT NOW? IS IT RELATED WITH WHAT WE DO IN CLASS OR NOT? Everything you THINK AND WRITE can be of interest to your friends or to other students from other places in the world.

So, this is what we are going to do:

To start the blog, READ THE NEWS QUE ET CRIDIN L’ATENCIö. Each of you could post a message explaining something has IMPRESSED YOU OR MADE you THINK OR RELATE WITH YOUR THOUGHTS. Take a moment to go through your memories, notes or even the course book, TO HELP YOU TO communicate your ideas and thoughts about it. You can use pictures, text and even sound. 

THEN, SOMETIMES WE WILL COMMENT ON IN GROUPS OR INDIVIDUALLY SOME NEWS WITH SPECIFIC QUESTIONS.

OF COURSE, when you see someone else has posted a message, you can reply too.

AND YOU CAN SUGGEST NEWS THAT T’HAN CRIDAT L’ATENCIÓ.
