OUR VERTICAL GARDEN – Event for the conclusion and dissemination of the Erasmus

Event for the conclusion and dissemination of the Erasmus  + project “Engaging students through a green 3D textbook” – the representative  of the project Prof. Valentina Faricelli and a delegation of students inaugurate the vertical garden of the Montale complex with the presence of the Deputy Mayor Giovanni Santilli and the Headmaster Stefania Petracca.

 

 

First steps into our «Real Vertical Garden»

The 21st November, on the occasion of Tree day, we planted shrubs and vegetables in the area outside our school.

In this year we are working a lot about ecology, especially we are studying with our teachers about plants of our Region.

We started preparing soil for grass seeding and digging furrows for planting. It is a preparatory activity to the study of plants of Abruzzo ecosystem so, in this occasion we planted in our Botanical garden some typical species of Mediterranean area. It deals with awareness raising and promotion activities about environment in order to start Vertical Gardens project.

IC PESCARA10: Thanks to the winner of “A Logo Contest”, the Erasmus Project “Engaging students through a green 3D textbook” has its official logo.

We thank all participants for bringing in their creativeness and for designing several interesting logos. But only one of them has been voted as the most representative logo of the Contest.
The logo was designed by Riccardo Fortuna a student of our School.
