This is the Project done by the students in the 6th level of primary.

The schools that took part in this project taped presentations of the European Union countries.


EUROPE PROJECT

This project is the exchange between two European schools (46 & 47). Both schools have two groups of about 25 students each in the 6th level (the students are 11and 12­year­old kids)

The idea would be that each group would have teams of about 5 pupils. Each group would prepare a short video where the students would make a presentation of one of the countries of the European Union in English. The video would take 5 minutes.

The European Union comprises 28 sovereign member states:

We would encourage students with family background in one of these countries can prepare the presentation of one of these countries.
We would discourage the students to prepare the presentation of the country of the school. So these students won’t have and advantage over the rest of the groups.

Contents of the presentation (illustrative):
● Geographical ( ei. France is between Germany and the United Kingdom.)
● Population (ei. There are …)
● Capital and important cities
● Oficial languages
● Economy and currency
● Festivals
● Interesting places,monuments, museums, famous people
● Rivers
● Mountains
● Climate and vegetation (rivers, climate, vegetation…)

The students are provided with an example. They are shown a powerpoint presentation of a European Country that is not a member of the European Union, Andorra.
