WE PLAY WITH OUR GAMES
During this last project “A WALK THROUGH HISTORY” we have learned a lot of things about life in Prehistory, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. And now we are experts!!!
So to test us, the teachers suggested designing different games for the library where all the students could play with them. You can imagine that each group had a lot of work!!!
But all the game were not the same, each one was about a different age of History and it was a different type of board game. One group designed a “Who’s Who” about Ancient Greece, another group designed a “Party&co” about Ancient Egypt, etc.
At the end, the games were very beautiful and the funniest was when we played with our games!!!
Here I enclose different photos of the time when we played.

SINTESI PROJECT IN SANT LLORENÇ DE MONTGAI
On the 24th and 25th of November, we went to Sant Llorenç de Montgai, in la Noguera to do the “sintesi project”.
We were studing Prehistory in the project “A Walk through History”. In Sant Llorenç we did different workshops about Prehistory: First we went to “La Cova dels Bous” . A guide told us how they found the cave and what they found there. He also told us what people from the Prehistory did there.
We also made tools with silex stones.

Different tipes of silex
Another workshop that we did was painting. We use our fingers to paint and the watercolor was colorant.
In the final workshop we spoke about the tools that they used in the Paleolithic and Neolithic and we also worked as arqueologists.

A walk through history: Ancient Greece
This week we started Ancient Greece. We learned where Greece is, the Greek polis and the social pyramid. We worked in our dossiers and we watched some interesting videos.
Here we have some important facts to remember:
GEOGRAPHY
Greece is in the south of Europe. It has a lot of islands. Some of the more famous ciity-states were Athens, Sparta, Corinth, Delphi and Thebes.
GREEK POLIS
Sparta is famous for its strong army.
Athens is famous for being the birthplace of democracy.
Olympia is famous for the Olympic games.
Delphi is famous for the Oracle.
THE SOCIAL PYRAMID
Only men were considered citizens. Women, slaves and foreigners were considered non-citizens.

A Walk through History
This week we have done lots of interesting activities.
On Monday we presented our final product with the digital board. We had to choose the best commercial to show on tv. The ads were about the privatization of water, the contamination of the river water, etc.
On Tuesday we started the new project called A Walk Through History. It is a very interesting project because it is about prehistory and the Old Ages. Mercé came to our class and told us if we could design four board games about the different civilizations in the Old Age for exemple the Roman civilization, the Egyptian civilization, … The reason was that the library hasn’t got any money to buy games. We agreed with her and we accepted her proposal.
Then the following day we did some activities to learn all the different ages of our ancestors. Why before Christ is written BC and AD is not after Christ? Because AD is Anno Dominus! This is one of the interesting questions about the new project.
