In very colloquial English (especially in America) you can hear: Where you from? (the verb ARE is missing)

To make up the question “where are you from?” with different subjects we can say:

– Where am I from?
– Where are you from?
– Where is he from?
– Where is she from?
– Where are we from?
– Where are you from? (= where are you guys from)
– Where are they from?

– Where is Tim from?
– Where’s your family from?
– Where are your parents from?

– Where are you from?
– I’m from Spain

Describing our ideal house, by Dani Benítez and Júlia Cascos

Our house is located in New York.

It was built in 2001 by my father. The principal material used in the construction was stained glass because the weather is hot.

It looks like a White House and a palace. The ceiling is made of stained glass. The predominant color is blue because is the color of the palace of the prince, and the predominant color of the thrones are red because is my favorite color.

The view from the house is because I can see a beautiful beach, and 200 m² of garden and a big pool.

The roof is made of mirrors. There are 6 floors and a big roof. It has got102 rooms.

In the bedroom there is a beautiful mirror, a big bed and a decorated lamp. There are two bathrooms in each floor with two washbasin, mirrors etc…

There are 4 living rooms in each floor with 2 television and with 5 sofas etc…

It has got a big garden, a courtyard, a beach…

We love where we live!
