The cherry tree is from Europe: Anatolia and Maghreb and Asia, British Isles, Morocco and Tunisia.
It is a deciduous tree.
The crown is wide, pyramidal and a little bit long.
The leaves are simple and ovate. The margins are toothed. It measures between 6 and 15 cm of lenght and 3 to 8 cm in width.
The bark is smooth and a little red. The trunk is right and strong.
Its fruit is the cherry and it is red. The flower is white and the petals are oval, the flowers measure 2 or 3 cm.
The tree can grow up to 30m.
This tree is used for decorating the house, for making musical instruments. The fruit is used in gastronomy. You can also use this tree for producing medicine and making colorant.
