Johann Strauss II, fill del compositor i violinista vienès Johann Strauss, als dinou anys ja tenia la seva pròpia orquestra i, quan va morir el seu pare, va unir la seva orquestra i la del seu pare i va marxar de gira per Europa i els Estats Units, per difondre els seus valsos, polques, etc. Està considerat com el rei del vals. Les seves obres sovint fan referència al seu país, com el famós vals d’El Danubi blau, o juguen amb elements descriptius, com és el cas d’aquesta audició.
La polca Enmig de llamps i trons aprofita el ritme ràpid d’aquest ball per descriure l’agitació d’una tempesta amb llamps i trons.

Durant el mes de novembre hem escoltat una audició que els agrada molt als nens, especialment als d’Educació Infantil.

És una de les cançons més boniques del meravellos Cirque Du Soleil.

Per començar un nou curs i donar la benvinguda a tothom a l’escola que millor que escoltar una cançó que ens animi una mica com és la del compositor català Jaume Sisa.
