Always friends
ALWAYS FRIENDS
Words and music by
ROGER EMERSON
Always friends, helping one another.
Always friends, bringing out the sun.
Always friends, looking to the other.
Friends until the day is done!
Always friends, (always friends) helping one another.
Always friends, (in the sun) bringing out the sun.
Always friends, (looking to the other) looking to the other.
Friends until the day is done!
When the skies are stormy (x2)
and you’re feeling blue (x2)
look in my direction, (look my way)
I’ll be there for you!
Always friends….
When you need som laughter (x2)
and the smiles are few, (x2)
look in my direction, (look my way)
I’ll be there for you!
For you!
Always friends, (always friends) helping one another.
Always friends, (in the sun) bringing out the sun.
Always friends, (looking to the other) looking to the other.
Friends until the day is (always friends)
Friends until the day is (always friends)
Friends until the day is done! (day is done!)
The sound of Music. Do, re, mi.
The sound of music is a great musical created in 1965. In this movie, Julie Andrews plays the role of a nun that takes care of a family of seven children. These children lost their mother some years ago and since then happiness and music has disappeared from their lifes. Maria, the main character, wants to bring back the music and games to those children.
There is a great song in the beginning of the movie that has become a classic number among musical’s history.
In this song, Maria teaches the kids the name of the notes by giving them names or actions that remind them the sound of the names of the notes. By this system, the kids are able to learn at a much faster pace and with much more enjoyment. I hope you will too.
Here you can see the video with the lyrics to sing along.
