1. We are going to hear, but not see a short film in which a young woman is in a variety of different situations. As you listen, try to recognise any sounds you hear.
2. Now we are going to listen to the film again and I am going to pause it and ask you what the young woman is doing and what is happening by the sounds you identify.
3. Now let’s watch it and check your guesses.
4. Discuss the following:
- How does the woman feel?
- What is the message of this short film?
- Have you ever used your mobile phone in any of the way you saw in the film when you were with another person?
- How do you feel when other people use their mobile phones when they’re with you?
- Which of the things do you find most annoying?
5. All of the uses of the mobile phone in the film could be considered negative and anti-social. Now think of many positive uses of mobile phones as you can in two minutes.
