ENGLISH DAY 2009

On Tuesday, 10th March 2009 we celebrated our second English Day, it was a very special day.flag.JPG

All the Primary students had different activities, and all the teachers at school gave English activities.hands.jpg

Students had to sing songs, make a craft, write, listen to a story, play on the computer, make a mini-book, play Logico draw a tie, watch a film and do a wordsearch.  Stressing? No! Good fun to learn!

Here you are the first one: a craft. They drew their hands on coloured paper and made a big rainbow. Now you can see it on a wall, in a corridor. Then, they did a wordsearch about Saint Patrick’s Day.

What time is it?

We are learning the time in class.Smile

We have a clock and we answer this question: what time is it?

Look at this clock, it is different. It is a  24 hours clock. You can find it in Greenwich, England.

Observe it carefully and say:    what time is it? clock.JPGclock2.JPG

Other famous clocks are The Big Ben (London) and the Astronomical clock (Prague):

Gingerbread houses

Here you are our gingerbread houses. They are made of biscuits and sweets. Our teacher used meringue to glue the walls and the chimney. They smell…delicious! And they look very good. In some days we will eat them. Mmmmmm!casetes-011.jpgcasetes-012.jpgcasetes-013.jpg

Carving pumpkins

On Halloween we’ve been carving pumpkins. It’s not difficult, you need a pumpkin, a design and some patience…

We used a pattern and we enjoyed drawing a face on the pumpkin. We put some newspapers inside in order to dry the

pumpkins and they lasted some days.
