Halloween

el dia 31 vam parlar molt sobre què i com celebrem la nit del 31 d’octubre. Aquí és la nit de la Castanyada i als països de cultura anglosa organitzen la festa de Halloween. Per poder ajudar-te amb el resum que has de preparar, et recordem algunes de les paraules que vam sentir més sovint en aquella conferència.

Fruits: apple (poma), chestnuts (castanyes), sweet potatoes (moniatos), pumpkin (carbassa)

Festivities: celtic culture (cultura celta), druid (druida),beginning of autumn (inici de tardor), harvest (collita), Christianity (cultura cristiana) all souls’ day (tots sants)

Traditions and activities: trick or treat (”truco o trato”), bob the apple (agafar pomes amb la boca), jack o’lantern (carbasses decoratives amb espelma a dins), costumes (disfresses)
