MY DAILY ROUTINE (portfolio activity one)

Our first portfolio activity is called MY DAILY ROUTINE. You wrote 10 sentences about your every day actions and added some pictures. Your sentences were in present and they all included a frequency adverb (always, sometimes, often, never…)

Most of you did a good project, here you have two of the best ones, by Gianina and by Raul. Excellent work!

Oliver Twist (chapter one)

Oliver Twist asks for more porridge

Summary of the chapter:

Oliver Twist is an orphan, his mother died when he was born. He lives in an orphanage until he is nine years old, when he goes to a workhouse.

In the workhouse, Oliver works long hours for very little food. One day, he is so hungry that he asks for a second bowl of porridge to the master. The master gets furious and calls Mr Bumble, the officer, who puts Oliver in a cold, dark room for one week and they beat him every day. Oliver cries and cries.
