Do you want to see it? It was really fun, specially while we waited to be made in the oven because we played the “Chinese whispers” and we enjoyed a lot!!!

On 14th November we made shortbread. It is a typical recipe from Scotland. Jade gave us the recipe. Here you are:
SHORTBREAD
Cooking time: 10 to 20 minutes
Makes 20-24 shortbread
Ingredients:
125 g butter
55 g caster sugar, plus extra to finish
180 g plain flour
Method:
Heat the oven to 190ºC.
Beat the butter and the sugar together until smooth.
Stir in the flour to get a smooth paste. Turn on to a work surface and gently roll out until the paste is 1 cm in thick.
Cut into rounds or fingers and place onto a baking tray. Sprinkle with caster sugar and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until pale golden-brown.
Set aside to cool on a wire rack.
