WELCOME TO THE LABIT AND GENDER.CAT  BLOG

This is the blog of lablit fiction originally written in Catalan by women authors. The term was coined about a decade ago by Jennifer Rohn, as an easy-to-handle synonym for the term “science-in-fiction” created by Carl Djerassi in the late eighties.

It is the subject of the research “Lablit and gender” I started in 2012 with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Catalonia. 

On the pages of this blog you will find information on the titles analyzed in this research, the biographies of all women authors, co-authors and scientific assessors, together with their connection with the subject at issue.
