BENVINGUDA A LA NOVA INCORPORACIÓ DEL PATI

Dimecres, quan vam arribar al matí a l’institut ens vam trobar una taula de “Ping pong” al pati. Ens vam quedar bocabadats, no ens ho esperàvem!

Per poder-hi jugar, es necessari que portem pales i pilotes. Tenim moltes ganes de jugar-hi…

La setmana vinent esperem estrenar-la!

XERRADA SOBRE JOVENTUT DEL CONSELL COMARCAL

El divendres a tutoria ens van fer una xerrada les tècniques de joventut del Consell Comarcal del Pla d’Urgell, sobre les diferents possibilitats d’oci i de tallers relacionats amb temes de joventut.

La vam considerar molt interessant i ens van agafar ganes d’apuntar-nos als seus tallers.

Ara, tenim habilitat un espai a la Cantina sobre les diferents novetats relacionades amb aquest àmbit.

Ens encanta estar al dia!!

ELECCIÓ DEL NOSTRE REPRESENTANT DE LA LECTURA EN VEU ALTA 

Avui hem escollit el representant del nostre centre per a participar al quart de final del XVè Certamen Nacional Infantil i Juvenil de Lectura en Veu Alta que se celebrarà el proper 7 de març al Teatre l’Amistat de Mollerussa. El representant serà l’Adrià Sasot i com a substitut el Ianis Tarba. Enhorabona als dos!

Last Sunday, January 27, 2019, the representatives of our school went to the Prize Party at the Centric Cultural Hall of El Prat de Llobregat.

The story La Pastanaga Feliç (The Happy Carrot) by students in the 1st ESO A class was in the final competition.

Adrià Sasot and Dani Andrei wrote the tale and Riana Teaca was the illustrator.

It was a prize promoted by Espigoladors, a non-profit organization that combats food waste while empowering people at risk of social exclusion in a transformative, participative, inclusive and sustainable manner.

Unfortunately, we didn’t win the prize but we got a small present for all the students in 1st ESO of INS ”Lo Xatrac”.

We are proud of having reached the final!!!

A BALANCED DIET

Citizenship microproject: CONSUMER AWARENESS

These days we have been working on the importance of having a healthy diet by learning about: fibre, carbohydrates, proteins, fat and sugar. We designed our posters to get aware of the recommended amounts of the different types of food that make up our diet.

The objective of the activity was to learn to distinguish what is good and what is wrong for a correct feeding to favour our growth.

Since the vending machine arrived at our school, we observe that some of us are probably eating too much unnecessary sugar, so it’s time to think carefully about our diet.

Wednesday January 30th 2019  was a special day in many schools. We had the second dose of the vaccine against the DISCRIMINATIUM virus.

We read a manifest of our commitments to ensure a good coexistence based on mutual respect.

After that, we vaccinated ourselves with stickers of peace and good treatment. This is not a physical vaccination but one aimed for reflection about our attitude to others. To avoid bullying, discrimination and any kind of illtreatment

Finally, we played some games created by us in order to promote cooperative work.

It was great fun for all!

NÚRIA, NUESTRA NUEVA PROFESORA DE BIOLOGÍA

 El lunes, 21 de enero, vino una nueva profesora al instituto que sustituye a la profesora de Biología, Iolanda Huguet, que estás semanas no puede asistir al centro.

La nueva profesora se llama Núria y su primera clase fue con los alumnos y alumnas de 1º B.

Se quedará aquí hasta que la profesora Iolanda regrese.

A todos nos encantó la profesora.

INICIO DE UN NUEVO PROYECTO

El martes, 22 de enero, comenzamos un proyecto el cual partía de la idea de trabajar en equipo.

La primera acción cooperativa fue hacer un concurso de una torre con espaguetis. El grupo que hacía la torre más alta y sostenía una chuche al punto más alto sin caerse, ganaba.

El premio era una chuche para todos los participantes del grupo.

Otras actividades que hicimos fueron resolver diferentes acertijos. No todos nuestros compañeros lo consiguieron.

Estos retos nos hicieron trabajar en equipo y trabajar el compañerismo.

La directora de l’escola Les Arrels, la Núria Calvís, va visitar el nostre institut, Ins Mollerussa IV / Lo Xatrac a finals del primer trimestre.

L’escola commemora 10 anys del seu naixement. Tots els alumnes que l’any passat vam cursar 6è vam haver d’escriure un dels nostres millors  records durant els anys que vam passar en aquesta escola. Ho vam escriure en un llibre en blanc preparat per a què tots hi poguéssim deixar la nostra empremta.

Nosaltres pensem que això d’escriure uns records en un llibre, ha estat molt especial i bonic per part dels mestres de l’escola, ja que vam passar una etapa de la nostra vida allí. Ens va fer tanta il·lusió que no ens va costar gens trobar-ne un, però la dificultat va ser triar-ne un.

Us agraïm molt que vosaltres també ens hàgiu deixat molt bons records.

A vending machine gets our school after Christmas Holidays.

Are you late for school? Did you forget your breakfast Do you need something sweet to escape from boredom? Don’t worry! Now, you can get a bite of energy from the vending machine in our canteen.

We finally can choose what we want to eat for breakfast! At least, that’s what we think….

Well, nothing’s better than mum’s sandwiches, of course! Not to talk about granny’s pies…! But, you know, the vending machine offers us that sense of independence that teenagers love. So, enjoy your snack with your pocket money instead of spending “pavos” on Fortnite!

We can select from crackers, nuts, chocolate bars and cookies…And by providing healthy alternatives, adults are still helping to guide us in our decision making.

BON APPETIT!

On Friday this week we are visiting the Jaume Vila Local Library in Mollerussa. Those students who haven’t got a library card will be able to get one, which enables us to borrow up to 30 items a month!

The service offered by the library allows us to take home up to 15 books, 5 magazines, 5 CD’s and 5 DVD’s. Isn’t it amazing!??

Knowing the history of the Canal d’Urgell is one of our goals during this term global project.

We are visiting the Cultural Area of the Canals d’Urgell in Mollerussa this week to learn about the changes that the construction of this infrastructure led to through the territory. Economic and social changes occurred in a dry area that was known as the devil’s bump, due to its extreme climatic conditions.

The Cultural Area of the Canal d’Urgell  was created in 2003 to keep the memory of a 150 years old major work.

Thanks to the Canal d’Urgell, this rough land became the green lung of Catalonia that waters up to five counties of the Lleida plain: La Noguera, L’Urgell, Pla d’Urgell, Les Garrigues and El Segrià.

It took more than 60 years to the peasants of the area to learn how to lead the water of the Canal d’Urgell and begin to produce irrigated agriculture.

Ja estem de vacances! Com les desitjàvem! Ara, hem aprofitat fins a l’últim minut de l’any 2018 a l’INS Mollerussa IV o, com a partir d’ara l’anomenarem, a l’Institut Lo Xatrac!

Els dies 17, 18 i 19 de desembre hem estat d’intercanvi i, alguns/es de nosaltres, hem acollit alguns/es alumnes de 1r d’ESO de l’Institut de Tremp. El nostre objectiu era mostrar-los el màxim del nostre patrimoni. Per aconseguir-ho, vam visitar els següents indrets:

Hem après molt de tot i de tots/es i ens ho hem passat molt bé. Esperem la tornada al febrer!

FOOD BANK

The Gran Recollida d’Aliments is a major event that happens each year. This year is from November 30 to December 1.

During the event volunteers give plastic bags at the entrance of a supermarket. The people can buy something extra to donate to the food banks of Spain, which help feed thousands of less fortunate people.

In our High School, INS Mollerussa IV, we take part in this collection of food for poor people. Everyone can take some packets of rice, beans, pasta…or other non-perishable food and collaborate with the Food Bank.

FRANCESCO REDI CELL THEORY

Francesco Redi presented the theory of the cell to show that living beings can only be originated from living beings.

In order to verify this theory, in the biology class we did an experiment. We took three glass jars and we put a piece of raw meat into each one. The first one was left open, the second was covered with a cloth and we put a lid on the third.

After a few days, on Friday, November 23, we could observe that larvae appeared on the meat that had been uncovered, possibly due to the contact of an insect with the meat. The meat covered with a cloth created fungus, possibly by the same contact with our hands. Finally, in the meat that was covered nothing came out because it was not in contact with any living being during the time that the experiment lasted.

THEATRE: LIMITS

On Monday, November 26th, in the class of culture and values, we worked on the story about the Elefante encadenado by Jorge Bucay.

On Friday 30 December we are going to the theatre to see the play Limits, by Ferran Orobitg. This show is inspired by Bucay’s story,  which tells us the life of an elefant in a circus. The elefant is chained to a stake from an early age. A child guesses why such an strong animal does not escape…The answer is that it tried to run away when it was small, but it was not strong enough, so he could not.

This teaches us a lesson: we ourselves put our own límits.

Día internacional de la infáncia

Este martes 20 de Noviembre a las 10:30, algunos alumnos de 1º de la ESO, fueron al Centre Cultural para ver como Marina y Alex leían un texto sobre la vacuna en contra de un virus que crearon los estudiantes de la Salle. El virus se llama Discriminatium y es un virus que potencía la discriminación, el bullyng, el racismo…
Blau y Faisel, que son los representantes de nuestro instituto en l’ Espai Jove, nos presentaron a todos los institutos que había en aquella sala.
Cuando todos los institutos y escuelas terminaron de leer su pequeño texto, nos vacunamos poniéndonos una pegatina en la parte donde se encuentra el corazón. En el momento que nos pusimos la vacuna, significaba que nunca haríamos las cosas que potencian el virus.
Más tarde, cuando ya estábamos en el instituto, les contamos nuestra experiencia a los compañeros que no habían podido asistir. 20/11/18

Aquí en nuestro instituto también lo celebramos de la siguiente manera: La directora leyó un manifiesto que se hizo con las opiniones de todos los niños que estudian en Mollerussa donde se hablaba de reflexiones sobre  la igualdad, el respeto, la paz entre todos y todos nos vacunamos con una tarjeta.

Porque lo maravilloso de tener infancia es en ella maravillosa.

CHAPEAU!

Miércoles 21 de Noviembre ,fuimos a l’Amistat a ver un ensayo de una obra llamada “ chapeau” , creada por un grupo (la baldufa). La obra de teatro se trataba de tres amigos, hermanos,… (depende de la imaginación de la gente que había) que se les murió su presidente, luego hicieron votaciones para elegir cual de ellos podría ser el nuevo presidente y acabaron todos en empate. Más tarde empezaron a pelearse, dos se unieron y dejaron al otro solo y acabaron con su campaña pero al final todos se pusieron de acuerdo,…

Nos ha encantado y la hemos disfrutado mucho y sobre todo nos ha enseñado que tenemos que respetar las opiniones de todo el mundo y que sin la democracia y la libertad todos acabaríamos peleándonos.

Las Baldosas hidráulicas y el Señor Pujol

La baldosa hidráulica fue muy importante en Mollerussa ya que había empresas que la fabricaban. Una de estas, es la empresa Prefabricats Pujol. Nos fuimos a ver de primera mano que podemos extraer visitando un sitio muy especial por su propietario, el señor Pujol.
