This year the “crèdit” will be more dificult than other years because we only have 4 days, but hopefuly it will be enough time to finish it and get good marks.
After finishing it we will just have to present it to some teachers and the school year will be over.
Luckily, this year, we have the last Friday off, we will go to Port Aventura, so we can relax. But for now, we must concentrate on our final exams and pass them all, so good luck to everyone!

The Easter Bunny
The Easter Bunny is a fantasy character represented as a rabbit bringing Easter eggs. Originating by German Lutherans, the Easter Hare originally played the role of a judge, evaluating whether children were good or bad at the start of the season of Eastertide. The Easter Bunny sometimes wears clothes. In legend, the creature carries colored eggs in his basket, candy and sometimes also toys to the homes of children, and as such shows similarities to Santa Claus, as they both bring gifts to children on the night before their respective holiday.
The idea of an egg-laying rabbit was taken to America in the 1700’s German immigrants. They told their children to make ‘nests’ with their caps and bonnets, and if they were good the Easter bunny would leave them coloured eggs.
The precise origin of the ancient custom of decorating eggs is not known, although evidently the blooming of many flowers in spring coincides with the use of the fertility symbol of eggs—and eggs boiled with some flowers change their color, bringing the spring into the homes.

Castanyada and Hallowee
In Catalonia we celebrate La Castanyada which consists of a meal of chestnuts, panellets sweet potato and preserved fruits, typically with moscatell to drink. Around the time of this celebration, it is common to sell hot toasted chestnuts wrapped in a newspaper. In many places people often organise raffles of chestnuts and preserved fruit.
It seems that the tradition of eating this food comes from the fact that during All Saints night, the night before All Souls Day in the Christian tradition.Bell ringers would ring bells in commemoration of the dead into the early morning.
In Castanyada we go to the sport center and eat chesnuts and panellet.
The word Halloween refers to the inherited traditional festival celebrated by Celtic, which has spread rapidly around the world, especially in the anglosaxon countries.
Many centuries ago in Britain, Scotland and Ireland on 31st October celebrated the festival of Samhain, which coincided with the last day of the year according to the ancient Celtic and Anglo-Saxon calendars. Samhain was the god of the dead. Some sources indicate that the Gaelic word “Samhain” literally means “end of summer”. That day was celebrated Samhain, so was New Year’s Eve. At that time, large bonfires were lit on the mountains to chase away evil spirits. It was also believed that the souls of the dead visit their former homes to try to find a body they inhabit, and were accompanied by witches and spirits. So it lit no light in the houses, and people dressed as witches or demons so that no soul would inhabit their body. The symbol of Halloween is the pumpkin. In halloween we go from house to trick or trich. Then we give sweets or money, and we share the sweets and money. We disguise aswitches, skeltons…
The Nobel Awards
The Nobel Awards are celebrated one a year to “reward the greatest benefit to the humanity”.
Since 1901, they give those awards to people who have made a great discovery (like in physics), for who have written the best book…
The prize consists of a gold medal, a diplom and a cash prize, which depends on the earnings of the Nobel Institute. Five of the six prizes are celebrated in Stockholm (Sweden). There’s only one exception: the Peace award, which is celebrated in Oslo (Norway).

Alfred Nobel
Alfred Nobel (1833-1896) was a Swedish engineer. He invented the dinamite and in his testament he established that every year there would be prizes to people who made the greatest benefit to the humanity. Many people think that Alfred did this because the dinamite was used for the war and he made all his fortune thanks to it.

Bullying
Bullying at school is the intimidation and mistreatment among students. It can be repeated and last for a long time.
Adults don’t usually know the student’s problem because bullying is a type of violence very difficult to identify. It can be physical and psychical violence and both people who suffer them are usually weak and not very confident people.
