 The Green Mile

Would you imaginea world without miracles? But my question is, do you belive in them? I think you enjoyed the film as much as I did. Now it’s time to get it down to words. Write your opinion (80-95 words) in the shape of a comment . You could take into account: what you thought the film was going to be, your favourite character, the power of evil in the world, the role of the prison guards, death penalty, etc. Would you recommend this film to a friend?

The Green Mile talks about love and how it can cure people and take away bad energies. I think miracles in the film are this love that I’m talking about, I mean, this story is a magic representation of what happens in real life.

When I saw the title I didn’t think it was going to be about anything related to energies or something like this, that’s the reason I was surprised when I saw John Coffey taking away Paul’s sickness.

My favourite character is, without doubting, John Coffey, that huge man full of love and so sensitive at bad energies. His character shows the power of love and how people should be: good persons without bad ideas.

Well, I would recommend this film to a friend because of all these things.

I think I would recommend that film because I enjoyed it very much despite of being a long film.

The film was very well, you get sorprised in a lot of moments because you sometimes can’t imagine what will be going on, for example, when the main character Paul was very bad because of his illness, John Coffei tell him to come next to him and it seems that he is going to make him pain but it isn’t this way, he only wants to help him and he take out his illness forever.

John Coffei is the miracle, he can do things that help other people to live better and he can also feel all the pain near him. He was innocent, but anyway he was sacrificated.

There’s one thing in the film that traumatized me, when Perci didn’t wet the sponge and the poor Del died with a lot of suffering in the electric chair.

The end of the film is very surprising because it seems that Paul will live forever seeing all the people dying.

    Hello!
Well, about my opinion of the film, I would recomend to a friend because I think that is a good film for think about life. In the film there is more differents characters, for example, the protagonist prisioner is a good person, and he didn’t die the two girls for which he had been accused of. The prision guards are honests but one of them aren’t.
My favourite actor of the film is Paul, he is honest and very patient with the prisioners, he know talking with people and he can said your wrongs politely and without lost the nervous.
Finally I just had seen the film, but I didn’t remember the end, and think that the end would be different, and didn’t die the prisioner. Is a good film.

    see yoou!!

I didn’t like the film, because is too hard, especially on executions, where the people which stayed there, are violently taken in the execution shair. That I like most is the power of miracle when John Coffey is able of cure people that have sicknesses.

The Green Mile represents the prison of death. To be honest, I wouldn’t recommend this films, even if a lot of people can say that is a great film that teachs to live.

My favourire character is John Coffey, because is the most real person that stay that, represents the love and friendship that in the prision is’nt, and is the person that haven’t bad ideas, not like your friends.

Finally, I don’t agree of death penalty, because I think that even though somebody had done something very bad, hasn’t to be jutged.

    Hi!
I would recommend this film because is intrigue film, you don’t know what will success, while we looked the film, I couldn’t imagine what the actors would do.
I interpret this film such as one message of life. When the film finish you question yourself, what has wanted see the film? I think that is one reflection about the end life for one band, other band there is the history in prison, where success the miracle history. A big man who help people because he take a other person with energy and wash his body. He is a very original protagonist and at the end you like this person because he is very effective.
My favorite actor is a mouse!!! The person thinks a lot (too much)… I like the simple souls.
The film is good, but I don’t see more films so I don’t choose this for look in my house!

    Hi !

I think that the miracles don’t exist because if the miracles exist, won’t happen anything bad in the world, but unfortunately this don’t be this way.

I likes this film a lot because shows how is the live in the prision. Is a film very interestant because shows the different histories of the characters for example the guard Paul that he finnally is a good person with Coofe and Paul helps he unlike the other guards are more serious with his work and Percy ( another guard) is a very bad person because he likes hurt the prisioners.

Coofe is a prisioner very different because he is very funky and good person because he helps people with magic power this is that he can remove the diseases of people.

The death penalty, is a good think to people who do anything very bad for example kill someone because this don’t have excuse.

Finnally, I recomend this film to a friend because i sure that likes it and he can learn very things with this film.

Yes, I can imagine a world without miracles, forthemore, I can live in this world, the world where disfortuney we live. I have known to not belive in it, althout, my artistic-face mind want to belive in it.
Yes, I don’t like especially Sthephen King, I don’t know why, but I like this film.
I wasn’t expect nothing about the film, but at first I liked the BSO, later the fotography, and at final I liked the argument, and, it’s more, the form of see the topic.
I don’t have favourite caracteer but I like the global image of the film and more, the interaction of the caracteers.
I haven’t seen the power of evil in the film, I only have seen the absence of good. In this context, Coffee is a crowl of goodness.
The role of prision guards is strange, because they want to save Jhon Coffee, but they didn’t have nothing.
I belive that the dearth penalty isn’t moral according the actual morality, the money. Actually, it’s because murder someone is more spensive than punish someone with the prision. And of true moral, isn’t good murder someone for nothing, the people have to know which make.

Last week we saw at class “the green mile”. I really enjoyed this film and it made me think about many things, but specially about miracles. The truth is that I don’t believe in miracles at all, but it’s very beautiful think that one day, without any cyethifical explanation, one miracle happened in your live and change it for good.

In fact, this is what happened to Paul, a prision guard who didn’t believe in miracles until John Coffee, a prisioner who is accused of killing two girls came to the green mile. At the end of the film we can see he didn’t kill them, however, he will die because he was so tired of his power: he can do miracles, as cure cancer or come back the mouse’s life.

At first I didn’t think that this film was going to be this way. Well, I didn’t know anything about the film, but I liked the film VERY much. The character that I liked the most was Paul. He is a good, honest, fair and intelligent man who helps people, although they killed somebody, as Delacroix. All the prision guards are quite good, all but Persy, who at the end is punished by the destiny to be crazy.

Paul is “punished” to pass a very long life with Mr. Ginggles and see how his loved people die. This is the result of the power of miracles. In my opinion this power doesn’t exist, and neither the power so. I think that each person choose the way they are and after that thay have to accept the consequences.

That is my opinion about “the green mile”.

If the miracles exist, the world would be a better place.
If some people would do a miracles, they would be a “saviour” about the society. If they exist, they would help the people and treat his problems or diseasses. In this case, the doctors wouldn’t be necessaryes.
On the other hand, If this people who can do miracles exist, I think that they would do business and would win a lot of money with this, but if this people do a good use, this power can be very good for the people.

In my opinion, I don’t believe in miracles, because are one thing more difficult to demostrate that it is true, and are one thing a bit of religious. I think that people who believe in this are ,sometimes, religious. When at this type of people happens something strange, they think that is one thing that comes with god or with something divine.
In my opinion, this type of things are chances.

I enjoyed a lot whit this film. Of all of characters, my favourite is the big man, John Coffe. They are condemned to death in the electric chair, because the police think that they killed two little girls, but they didn’t do it. They are the man who can do miracles, and cure all of diseasses. The most impresionant miracle is that John return to the live again at one mouse which was death.

I would recommend this film to all people, because it is a beautifull film and a bit of pessymistic. I like this film very much.
If I wouldn’t be in the class when we saw the film, I, certainly, would cry.
