FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Here there are the results of the survey about the eating habits of the young people in INS Santa Eul`rlia. The survey was made among 65 students of 3rd year of ESO and the results were compared to those of the other countries during the meeting that took place in Hungary.

Question 1:

Usually, boys have breakfast between 7 and 8 am, and girls too. Rarely, they have breakfast before 7am.

Question 2:

More people have breakfast at home rather than at school. Only one girl has breakfast in a restaurant.

Question 3:

People often have breakfast in 10 minutes, but the majority has breakfast in only 5 minutes. There are 7 people that don’t have breakfast.

Normally people have a full meal; it has a first course, second course and dessert. 8 only have a sandwich for lunch. 21 people have a main course. Only one person said that he doesn’t have lunch.

Question 6:

The common thing is that people have lunch at home, although 2 people have lunch at school, ant 1 in a restaurant.

Question 7:

2 people have dinner before 5, 15 people have dinner between 7 and 9, and 50 people after 9.

Question 8:

Only one person doesn’t eat anything for dinner. 7 people eat a cold quick dinner and 24 a hot quick one

Question 9:

Lots of peoplehave dinner at home. Only one girl has dinner in a restaurant.

Question 11:

The majority said that they sometimes eat sweets or snacks. Only 4 people said they never have, and 8 said always.

Question 12:

Somebody else: A brother

The majority said that parents and children decide what to eat. 26 people say that their parents decide the food. 7 persons say that they choose their food, only one says that somebody else does.

Question 13:

There are only 11.16% of 2 mistakes, and a 6.9% of more than 2 mistakes. A big percentatge say that there aren’t any mistakes.

Question 14:

The majority say sometimes. But a big percentage never checks the nutriotional information. Only a 6.9% never check it.

Question 15:

Only one person is vegetarian and the 99.99% of people aren’t vegetarians. The only vegetarian is a girl
