Running Dictation
RUNNING DICTATION
Children from 6th grade have fun doing a running dictation.
The teacher chooses a short passage, makes several copies and put them up around the walls of the corridor.
The aim is for the students to run to read the passage on the wall. They remember some of the passage and run back to their partner. They dictate what they remember to their partner, who writes it down. They then swap roles. Over several turns they will build the whole passage.
