Another way to work the Educational Socioemotional learning is through the reflection. To work on this, all the corridors in the school are full of sentences and proverbs to make children think. Some of them are to motivate, others to improve children’s empathy, and others to educate towards tolerance and peace culture. During a tutor time lesson, the class and its tutor walk around the school stopping at each proverb and discussing about it. Some of the proverbs are:
“Do not judge someone until you will have walked 1000 miles on the same shoes” Dhyani Yahwoo
“The only race I know is the human one” Albert Einstein
“A person who never made a mistake, never tried anything new” Albert Einstein
“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results” – Albert Einstein
“Everyone makes mistakes. That is why they put erasers on pencils” Carl Carlson-The Simpsons.
“ We know what we are, but know not what we may be” William Shakespeare.
“ It is not important to know how to do it, but to know that it is possible.” La Granja
