Every school year, on one of the days of the cultural week, we do a cinema session in order to deal with the topic of equal opportunities and intercultural society. We choose a movie for each cycle and we prepare a video forum. The pupils have to answer to different questions and think about some situations happening in the movies and in our real lives. They listen to the others’ opinions and sometimes they question their previous thoughts and emotions about the topics. It is a way to learn to feel empathy, to understand others’ feelings. It is an important learning in order to make a peaceful school and a better world.
The films chosen are:
Superior Cycle:
- Real women have curves
- Bend it like Beckham
- Billy Elliot
Medium Cycle:
- Brave
- Azur and Asmar
First Cycle
- Wall-E
- The story of the seagull and the cat who taught her to fly.
