“We feel, we learn” project about Socio emotional Learning (SEL) started with lots of positive feelings.
The first transnational meeting took place in Escola Santa Creu in Anglesola, Spain, from the 23rd to the 27th November.
We did all the activities detailed in the programme.
24th November
At 9h30 a.m. it was the assembly with all the pupils and teachers. The youngest children sang a song to welcome the teachers from Czech Republic, Turkey and Poland. Then, the elder class in the school showed the countries in the project in a map and said few words in Czech, Polish and Turkish. After that, we visited the school and classes. Year 5 and Year 6 classes, the oldest in the school, made questions in English to the teachers in order to learn about their countries.
Before lunch, the teachers from the four countries played ice breaking games.
At 1h30 p.m. we had lunch with all the teachers in school.
In the afternoon we had the meeting in which we chose the logo, we talked about the project, we reminded all the things to do, we organised them, we decided the dates for the next meeting, etc. It was a very productive meeting.
25th November
We visited Alfred Potrony school in Térmens, a town near Anglesola. This school has a wide experience about SEL. We visited it in order to learn from them.
After the visit, we went to the Educational Department Offices in Lleida to present our project to the Educational Authorities. It was a very interesting meeting in which we felt very comfortable and we could talk about different things related to education.
In the afternoon we had a seminar about SEL in the University of Lleida (UdL). The teachers were Gemma Filella and Agnès Ros, from the Psychopedagogical Orientation Group(GROP) of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work .
26th November
Last activity was a seminar about Art-therapy. SEL can be work from different points of view. One of them is from Art. At this seminar we learnt more activities to do with children.
The first transnational meeting was very positive and productive.
